About Us

We help students find their authentic voice.

Mission

Our mission is to help students find their voice and tell their stories in authentic and powerful ways. How we tell our story shapes our future.

Vision

Our vision is to empower youth to live an all-in life by cultivating creativity, courage, and character. An all-in life is shaped by excellence, fueled by passion, and driven by dreams to change the world.

Core Values

We celebrate students

We believe that every student is called to a unique and powerful purpose in life. We love helping students discover their why’s and and their how’s. We believe that their stories are worth telling.

Creativity is a requirement

We cultivate originality by encouraging students to think outside the box, incorporate elements of surprise, and lean into specifics.

Integrity is a non-negotiable

We reject obfuscation and purposeful misdirection of the truth. We help students tell the best story possible by remaining true to themselves. In our quest for integrity and excellence, we are honest in our feedback to students.

We embrace the nuance

People are complicated, and that’s okay. We don’t believe in flattening students’ stories for digestibility’s sake. We don’t shy away from the messiness or the blood, sweat, and tears of life.

Family of origin is key

Writing strong essays requires a deep understanding about who we were, who we are, and who we want to be. Through reconnecting with parents/guardians/family of origin, students are able to reflect on how their childhood journey has shaped them. We encourage growth and healing through conversations with family.

Excellence > Perfectionism

We value excellence—achieving your personal best—without sacrificing things like health or family relationships. We go all-in. We’re strategic: we work hard, and we work smart. Journey over destination.

We never operate out of fear

Comparison kills joy and originality. We foster courage by embracing authentic voices and stories. We fight against mentalities of insecurity and lack.

We empower students

“If you babysit the youths, you will get babies. If you lead the youths, you will have leaders!” - Pastor Cecilia Chan. We don’t serve fish on a silver platter; we teach students how to fish: how to think, write, and do. We build up resilient, persistent self-starters who will succeed wherever they go.
